A White Walker, also known as Others, is a supernatural humanoid creature in the TV Show Game of Thrones. These entities are ancient and serve as a primary antagonist, dwelling in the frozen lands beyond the Wall in the far north of Westeros.
White Walkers are characterized by their piercing blue eyes, skeletal features, and ability to reanimate the dead into wights, their undead army. They possess immense strength, resilience to conventional weapons, and vulnerability only to dragonglass (obsidian) and Valyrian steel.
The first appearance of a White Walker is in the prologue scene of the TV Show's first episode, "Winter Is Coming". They are depicted as a silent, relentless threat, slowly advancing south, bringing with them an endless winter and threatening to extinguish all life.
The Night King leads the White Walkers; his motives remain largely unknown throughout the series, fueling the mystery and dread surrounding their existence. Their ultimate goal seems to be the annihilation of the living.
