Stargirl, also known as Courtney Whitmore, is a superhero character appearing in the DC Universe, primarily through the CW television series Stargirl. Created by Geoff Johns, she debuted in , Stars and S.T.R.A..

In the show, Courtney discovers the Cosmic Staff, a powerful weapon previously wielded by Starman, and learns that her stepfather, Pat Dugan (formerly Stripesy), was Starman's sidekick. Believing Starman to be her biological father, Courtney adopts the Stargirl identity.

Driven by a strong sense of justice and fueled by the Cosmic Staff's power, Stargirl inspires a new generation of young heroes to form the Justice Society of America (JSA). Together, they battle the Injustice Society of America (ISA), a group of supervillains terrorizing their town of Blue Valley, Nebraska.
