Biography:
Whiplash, portrayed by actor Mickey Rourke, is the primary antagonist in the 2010 film Iron Man 2. His character first appears during the film's opening scenes.
Born Ivan Vanko, the character is a Russian physicist and ex-convict with a deep-seated resentment towards Tony Stark and his family. This animosity stems from his father's association with Howard Stark, which ended in disgrace and poverty for the Vanko family.
