The Super Samurai Red Ranger is the upgraded form of Jayden Shiba, the Red Ranger from Power Rangers Samurai and Power Rangers Super Samurai. These series are American adaptations of the Japanese Super Sentai series, Samurai Sentai Shinkenger.

Jayden is the direct descendant of the first Samurai Ranger and bears the burden of sealing the evil Master Xandred. He initially hides his identity as the true leader, believing his family secret makes him the only one capable of wielding the sealing power.

Jayden first appeared as the Red Ranger in "Origins, Part 1," the first episode of Power Rangers Samurai. Achieving Super Samurai Mode grants him enhanced strength, speed, and access to new weaponry and Zords. The power-up is crucial in the Rangers' battle against the Nighlok.
