The Red Ranger is a recurring character and leader figure in the Power Rangers franchise. Many different characters have assumed the mantle of Red Ranger across various iterations of the TV show.

In Power Rangers Mystic Force, the Red Ranger is Nick Russell, played by Firass Dirani. This season, which premiered in 2006, is an adaptation of the Japanese Super Sentai series, Mahou Sentai Magiranger. Nick transforms into the Mystic Force Red Ranger, drawing power from magic to battle evil forces.

The source material for the Red Ranger in Mystic Force is Kai Ozu from Magiranger. Ozu is the eldest son of the Ozu family who can transform into MagiRed.
