Biography:
Power Girl (New 52) is a Kryptonian refugee who arrived on Earth-2 and was raised as Karen Starr. Possessing powers similar to Superman, including super strength, flight, and heat vision, she became a powerful heroine on her adopted world.
The New 52 Power Girl's history diverged significantly from previous iterations. After Earth-2 was ravaged by Apokoliptian forces, she found herself transported to the mainstream DC Universe alongside her Earth-2 teammate, Huntress. She had to adapt to a new world and struggled with the loss of her original life.
Her first appearance in the New 52 continuity was in Worlds' Finest #1 (May 2012) as part of her ongoing adventures with Huntress after their arrival to Earth-0.
