Betelgeuse, more commonly known as Beetlejuice, is a bio-exorcist and "ghost with the most" from the 1988 film Beetlejuice. He is portrayed as a mischievous and crude spirit who can be summoned by the living to rid their homes of unwanted ghosts.

Beetlejuice inhabits a realm that exists adjacent to the mortal world, and possesses knowledge of both the living and the dead. While offering his services, Beetlejuice is unpredictable and often employs extreme, over-the-top, and often dangerous methods, leading to chaotic results.

He possesses supernatural abilities, including shapeshifting, teleportation, and the ability to manipulate objects and people. Although presented as a supernatural horror, Beetlejuice's actions often lean into comedic territory, blurring the lines between scary and funny. His ultimate goal is often to escape his current realm and rejoin the world of the living.
