Raphael, often nicknamed Raph, is one of the four central characters in the *TMNT* franchise. He is easily identifiable by his red mask and preference for wielding twin sai. Often the most aggressive and independent, he is quick to anger and possesses a cynical outlook.
His first appearance was in the *Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles* Movie in 1990 where he was portrayed by Josh Pais and voiced by Corey Feldman.
Despite his gruff exterior, Raphael is fiercely loyal to his brothers and deeply cares for his sensei, Master Splinter. His emotional depth is often explored throughout the various *TMNT* media adaptations, revealing a vulnerability beneath his tough demeanor.
