Raphael, often shortened to Raph, is one of the four Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (TMNT). He is easily identifiable by his red mask and preference for wielding twin sai. In most iterations of the TMNT, Raphael is portrayed as the most aggressive and headstrong turtle, often clashing with his leader, Leonardo.
Raphael's first appearance was in the 1987 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles TV Show episode "Turtle Tracks." This version of the character retains the core traits of aggression and sarcasm but within the context of a lighter, more comedic tone fitting the Saturday morning cartoon format.
