Goblin Soldiers are unnamed, but ubiquitous, members of the goblin armies encountered by Bilbo Baggins and the Company of Thorin Oakenshield in J.R.R. Tolkien's *The Hobbit*. They dwell deep within the Misty Mountains, in the labyrinthine tunnels and caverns of Goblin Town.

These goblins are generally depicted as small, cruel, and ungainly creatures. Their primary purpose is to serve as warriors and laborers for the Great Goblin and other leaders within their society. They are ill-equipped, often brandishing rusty swords, axes, and clubs. Their combat prowess is negligible compared to dwarves or elves, relying on sheer numbers and the element of surprise.

They capture Bilbo and the dwarves, dragging them before the Great Goblin. Later, they participate in the pursuit of the escaping company. While not individually significant, Goblin Soldiers collectively represent the threat posed by the hordes of evil creatures inhabiting Middle-earth. Their presence highlights the dangers lurking beneath the surface, underscoring the bravery and resourcefulness required to traverse such perilous landscapes.
