The Battle Droid is a type of droid soldier featured prominently in the Star Wars prequel trilogy and the animated series Star Wars: The Clone Wars. They are mass-produced, expendable infantry units primarily used by the Trade Federation and later the Separatist army during the Clone Wars.

Battle Droids are characterized by their thin, articulated bodies, tan or beige color scheme, and distinctive monotone voices. Their primary function is to overwhelm enemy forces with sheer numbers. The Battle Droid's first appearance was in Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace.

Though not particularly intelligent or skilled, Battle Droids are deployed in vast numbers and are typically armed with blaster rifles. They often exhibit comical behavior due to their programming limitations and are easily defeated by Jedi or clone troopers.
