Odin, portrayed by Anthony Hopkins, is a significant figure in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). He first appears in the film Thor (2011).

Odin is the King of Asgard, the Allfather, and the adoptive father of Loki. He is known for his wisdom, power, and long reign, during which he brought peace to the Nine Realms.

Throughout the MCU, Odin grapples with the consequences of his past actions, particularly concerning his son Loki's resentment. He eventually passes his power to Thor and enters "Odinsleep," a deep slumber to replenish his life force.
