Daredevil, also known as Matt Murdock, is a fictional character appearing in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, specifically in the Netflix television series of the same name.
Born in Hell's Kitchen, New York City, Matt Murdock was blinded as a child in an accident involving a chemical spill. The accident enhanced his remaining senses to superhuman levels, granting him a form of radar sense that allows him to "see" his surroundings.
Driven by a strong sense of justice, Murdock became a lawyer by day, using his legal expertise to fight for the innocent. At night, he operates as the vigilante Daredevil, using his heightened senses and martial arts skills to combat crime and protect the people of Hell's Kitchen.
His origins as Daredevil are seen in "Daredevil" Season 1 (2015). He is portrayed by actor Charlie Cox in the series and other MCU properties.
