Steel is a DC Comics character who first appeared in *The Adventures of Superman* #500 (June 1993). Following Superman's death at the hands of Doomsday, four new Supermen emerged, including John Henry Irons, a brilliant weapons engineer.
Irons built a suit of powered armor, styled after Superman's, and took up the mantle of Steel to fight crime and protect Metropolis. He wields a hammer and other tools integrated into his suit, making him a powerful and unique hero. One of his defining traits is his dedication to justice and his desire to live up to the ideals Superman represented.
While not possessing superpowers, Steel's intelligence, engineering skills, and armored suit make him a formidable force for good. The LEGO DC Comics Super Heroes theme released a version of Steel. The "Pad Printed" Steel figure is notable for its detailed printing.
