Steel Serpent is a martial arts master and recurring adversary of Iron Fist in Marvel Comics. His real name is Davos, and he is the son of Lei Kung, Iron Fist's mentor. Bitter and envious of Danny Rand's worthiness to become the Iron Fist, Davos attempted to steal the power for himself but was defeated and exiled.
Driven by resentment, Davos dedicated himself to honing his martial arts skills, eventually returning to challenge Iron Fist on numerous occasions. He possesses exceptional fighting abilities and can channel his chi into a serpent-like fist, mirroring Iron Fist's own ability.
Steel Serpent first appeared in Iron Fist #1 (1975). His rivalry with Iron Fist is fueled by a deep-seated sense of injustice and a thirst for power, making him a formidable and persistent foe.
