Firebird, also known as Bonita Juarez, is a Marvel Comics superheroine. She is a devout Catholic and a native of Taos, New Mexico.

Her superhuman abilities stem from a connection to a powerful cosmic force, often associated with the Phoenix Force, though distinct from it. This grants her the power to manipulate and project intense flames, fly, and possess a healing factor.

Firebird's origin story involves a near-death experience in a forest fire. Saved by what she believes to be divine intervention, she emerged with her fire-based powers. Initially fearful, she embraced her abilities and dedicated herself to helping others.

She has been a member of several superhero teams, including the Rangers and the Avengers (serving with the Great Lakes Avengers), representing the southwestern United States. She often grapples with reconciling her faith and her extraordinary powers.

Throughout her history, Firebird has faced numerous villains and mystical threats, consistently striving to protect both her community and the world at large, while remaining true to her religious convictions.
