Gella, identified by her distinctive dark red skin, was a Twi'lek dancer who resided in Jabba the Hutt's palace on Tatooine. Her primary role was that of an entertainer, providing dance performances for Jabba and his entourage.
Gella's time in Jabba's palace was not a matter of choice. Like many other Twi'leks, she was essentially a slave, forced to serve Jabba's whims under threat of punishment. Her life there was characterized by oppression and limited freedom.
Her fate remains largely unknown following the events at Jabba's palace in Return of the Jedi. It is presumed that she either perished when the Khetanna, Jabba's sail barge, exploded, or managed to escape and possibly find freedom from slavery after Jabba's demise.
