Muffet is a minor antagonist in the popular indie game *Undertale*, which first released in 2015. She is a spider monster who resides in Hotland.
Muffet runs a bake sale, selling spider-themed pastries, primarily to raise money to rescue other spiders from the Ruins. She believes humans are harmful to spiders, and thus seeks to capture the protagonist, believing they are a threat.
Players can either fight Muffet or spare her by purchasing a Spider Donut or Spider Cider from the Ruins, which will be delivered to her. If spared, Muffet will realize the protagonist is not a threat and will let them go.
