Sway, whose real name is Suzanne Chan, is a mutant character in the Marvel Comics universe. She first appeared in Deadly Genesis #2 in 2006. Sway was a member of Professor X's original team of X-Men, preceding the more well-known team featuring characters like Cyclops, Jean Grey, and Beast.

Her mutant power involved temporal manipulation. Sway could perceive time as a physical dimension, allowing her to witness events from the past as tangible echoes. She possessed limited precognitive abilities as well, seeing potential futures. This power allowed her to react to danger faster than the average person.

Tragically, Sway, along with her teammates Vulcan (Gabriel Summers), Petra, and Darwin, was presumed dead during a mission to Krakoa to rescue the original X-Men. They were ultimately sacrificed to save Xavier's life. It was later revealed that Darwin absorbed Sway and Petra to protect Vulcan from the dangers of Krakoa, effectively preserving their essences within him.

While deceased for a considerable period, Sway was later resurrected during the Krakoa era of X-Men comics thanks to the mutant resurrection protocols. This brought her back into the present-day continuity and allowed her to reintegrate into mutant society.
