Jack Skellington is the Pumpkin King of Halloween Town, a realm dedicated to the spooky holiday. He first appeared in the stop-motion animated film The Nightmare Before Christmas (1993), directed by Henry Selick and produced/conceived by Tim Burton.
Growing weary of the same annual routine of frights and scares, Jack stumbles upon Christmas Town and becomes captivated by its joyous atmosphere. He decides to take over Christmas, leading to chaotic and humorous results.
