Armando Muñoz, also known as Darwin, is a Marvel Comics character whose mutant power is reactive evolution. This means he can instantly adapt to any environment or threat, developing new biological traits and abilities as needed to survive. He was created by Ed Brubaker and Pete Woods, first appearing in X-Men: Deadly Genesis #2 in 2006.

Darwin was part of a second team of X-Men sent to rescue the original team from Krakoa. However, due to the island's sentience and hostile nature, he was absorbed and believed dead for a time. His powers allowed him to survive within Krakoa, eventually being regurgitated along with the island when it was propelled into space.

Since his initial appearances, Darwin has been involved in several X-Men storylines, often utilized as a powerful character capable of overcoming seemingly insurmountable challenges through his evolutionary abilities. However, the specific manifestations of his power can be unpredictable, sometimes leading to unintended consequences.
