Harrison Wells is a complex figure central to The CW's television series, The Flash. Initially introduced as the respected founder and director of S.T.A.R. Labs, his primary ambition is to guide Barry Allen towards unlocking his full potential as the Flash.
However, the audience soon discovers that the "Harrison Wells" they know is an imposter. He is, in reality, Eobard Thawne, a time-traveling Reverse-Flash from the future. Thawne murdered the real Harrison Wells and his wife, Tess Morgan, and assumed Wells' identity using a device that alters his appearance. His primary motivation for this deception is to create the Flash and use his speed to return to his own time period.
Throughout the series, multiple versions of Harrison Wells from different Earths in the multiverse appear. These "Wells" characters are distinct individuals with unique personalities, skills, and backstories. Examples include Harry Wells from Earth-2, H.R. Wells from Earth-19, and Sherloque Wells from Earth-22. Each Wells offers unique support and guidance to Team Flash, adding layers of intrigue and comedic relief.
