Bananaman is a British comic book character who first appeared in the D.C. Thomson comic book Nutty in 1980. He was created by Steve Bright.
Bananaman is the alter ego of Eric Wimp, an ordinary schoolboy who transforms into a muscular, banana-themed superhero when he eats a banana. Despite his great strength, Bananaman is incredibly dimwitted and often misunderstands situations, leading to humorous outcomes.
While not directly related to Batman, the similarity in names is a deliberate parody of the famous DC Comics superhero. Bananaman's adventures are lighthearted and comedic, contrasting sharply with the often dark and serious tone of Batman stories.
