Golden Glider, born Lisa Snart, first appeared in *The Flash* #250 (June 1977). She is the younger sister of Captain Cold, a prominent adversary of the Flash.
In her original comic book depiction, Golden Glider was a figure skater who embraced a life of crime after her lover, the Top, was killed. She blamed the Flash for his death.
Golden Glider's criminal activities often involved specialized ice skates that allowed her to create slippery surfaces and project golden energy. This enabled her to engage in theft and evade capture, frequently clashing with the Flash.
Later storylines saw Lisa's consciousness exist within her golden energy form, allowing her to possess others and continue her criminal pursuits.
