Artemis, in the DC Universe, is a complex character with multiple iterations. The focus here is on the Artemis appearing in the Young Justice cartoon series.
This Artemis Crock, daughter of Paula Crock (Huntress) and Sportsmaster, first appeared in the Young Justice episode "Infiltrator" (2011). Initially presented as Green Arrow's niece, she joined the Team as his protégé after Speedy left.
Her background is revealed to be steeped in villainy, a secret she initially hides. Despite this, she proves herself a skilled archer and valuable member.
