Magdalena is a comic book character featured in several independent comic series, most notably Witchblade published by Image Comics and Top Cow Productions. She is essentially the spiritual counterpart to the Witchblade bearer, inheriting the Spear of Destiny, Longinus, or the Spear of Christ, depending on the continuity.

Magdalena is always a descendant of Jesus Christ, trained from birth by the Catholic Church's Order of Magdalena to wield the Spear. Her primary purpose is to defend the Church against supernatural threats and uphold its tenets.

Several women have held the mantle of Magdalena across different timelines and continuities, each possessing unique skills and personalities. However, a shared characteristic is their unwavering faith and commitment to their holy duty, often coming into conflict with the more chaotic or ambiguous methods of the Witchblade bearer, Sara Pezzini.

Her powers stem directly from the Spear, granting her superhuman strength, speed, agility, and the ability to heal rapidly. She can also channel the Spear's power to project holy energy and inflict damage upon demonic or unholy entities.
