Charles Xavier, also known as Professor X, is a powerful mutant telepath and the founder of the X-Men. As seen in the live-action films, he dedicates his life to fostering understanding and peaceful coexistence between mutants and humans. Xavier establishes a school for mutants, often referred to as Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters, where he trains them to control their powers and use them for good.

Paralyzed from the waist down, Xavier primarily uses a wheelchair or a sophisticated Cerebro device to amplify his telepathic abilities. His extraordinary mental powers allow him to read minds, project thoughts, and control the actions of others. He often faces opposition from other mutants, such as Magneto, who believe mutants should assert their dominance over humans.

First appearance: X-Men (2000). The film is the first time the classic Professor X character has been portrayed on the big screen.
