Biography:
Norman Osborn, also known as the Green Goblin, is a central antagonist in the Spider-Man film directed by Sam Raimi. He first appeared in Spider-Man (2002), portrayed by Willem Dafoe.
Osborn is the CEO of Oscorp, a major technology and weapons manufacturer. Desperate to secure a lucrative military contract, he experiments on himself with an unstable performance-enhancing serum. This serum grants him superhuman strength and intelligence but also fractures his mind, creating an alternate, homicidal personality: the Green Goblin.
As the Green Goblin, Osborn dons a high-tech armored suit and utilizes Oscorp's advanced weaponry, including pumpkin bombs and a Goblin Glider. He becomes Spider-Man's archenemy, terrorizing New York City and threatening those Peter Parker cares about. His actions are driven by a warped sense of justice and a desire to prove his superiority.
