Lockheed is a dragon-like alien character in Marvel Comics, primarily associated with the X-Men. He first appeared in Uncanny X-Men #168 (April 1983) during the Bronze Age of comics.
He is a member of the Dragon Clan on his home planet. Lockheed bonded with Kitty Pryde (Shadowcat) and became her loyal companion. He possesses above-average intelligence and can communicate telepathically, especially with Kitty. His abilities include flight, fire breath, and sharp claws.
He has been a member of the superhero team Excalibur, alongside Shadowcat. Lockheed's adventures have included not only X-Men related stories but also a stint as a member of the Pet Avengers, a team of animal superheroes in the Marvel Universe.
