Sean Cassidy, better known as Banshee, is a Marvel Comics character and a prominent member of the X-Men.

Born in Ireland, Cassidy discovered his mutant ability later in life. His primary power is a sonic scream capable of generating immense sound, flight, and concussive force. He can also use his voice for echolocation and hypnotism.

Banshee's early life was marked by tragedy, including the death of his wife. He initially worked as an Interpol agent before being manipulated into criminal activities. Eventually, he joined the X-Men, becoming a valuable member and mentor to younger mutants. He has a strong connection to his cousin, Black Tom Cassidy, who is often depicted as a villain.

Throughout his history, Banshee faced personal struggles and setbacks, including periods where he lost his powers. He also worked as a co-founder of the X-Corps. Despite his hardships, he remained a dedicated hero and a complex character within the Marvel Universe.
