Dr. Eliot Franklin, also known as Thunderball, is a Marvel Comics supervillain. He is best known as a member of the Wrecking Crew.
Franklin was a brilliant physicist who sought to replicate a gamma bomb. During an experiment, he was exposed to gamma radiation and gained superhuman strength, stamina, and durability. He also obtained an indestructible wrecking ball, which became his signature weapon. Thunderball's intellect, combined with his brute force, makes him a formidable opponent.
His first appearance was in The Defenders #17 (November 1974).
