Brian Philip Calusky, known as Piledriver, is a Marvel Comics character and a founding member of the Wrecking Crew. He possesses superhuman strength and durability, with his primary offensive ability stemming from his oversized hands, which he uses to deliver devastating piledriver attacks.
Piledriver gained his powers alongside the rest of the Wrecking Crew when Dirk Garthwaite, the Wrecker, was imbued with Asgardian magic. This event empowered the Wrecker's crowbar and, subsequently, the rest of the crew when they grasped it.
Piledriver first appeared in The Defenders #17 in November 1974. Throughout his comic book history, he has consistently been a formidable physical threat, often clashing with various Marvel heroes. As part of the Wrecking Crew, he has participated in numerous robberies and acts of destruction.
