Biography:
Marvelman, later renamed Miracleman due to Marvel Comics objections, debuted in Marvelman #25 (February 1954), published by L. Miller & Son.
Created as a replacement for Captain Marvel after Fawcett Comics ceased publication, Marvelman was the alter ego of young Mickey Moran. He gained his powers by uttering the word "Kimota," transforming into a super-powered adult.
Following the closure of L. Miller & Son, the character was revived by writer Alan Moore and artist Garry Leach in 1982, published by Quality Comics, and later by Eclipse Comics. This revival offered a darker, more sophisticated take on the superhero genre, exploring the real-world implications of superhuman existence.
