Hela is a character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, portrayed by Cate Blanchett in the film Thor: Ragnarok. She is the firstborn child of Odin and the rightful heir to the throne of Asgard, before being imprisoned by her father due to her bloodthirsty ambitions for conquest.

In the MCU, Hela is a powerful Asgardian goddess of death. After Odin's death, she escapes her prison and returns to Asgard to claim her birthright, displaying immense strength and destructive capabilities.

The character's first appearance in the MCU is in Thor: Ragnarok, where she serves as the primary antagonist.
