Robb Stark was the eldest son of Eddard "Ned" Stark, Lord of Winterfell, and Catelyn Tully. He was the heir to Winterfell and the North.

Following his father's execution in King's Landing, Robb was proclaimed King in the North by his bannermen. He led the northern army south to war against the Lannisters to avenge his father and secure the independence of the North.

Robb proved to be a skilled military commander, winning numerous battles against the Lannister forces. He earned the nickname "The Young Wolf" for his ferocity and strategic abilities. His early victories brought him considerable support.

Despite his military successes, Robb's reign was plagued by political missteps. He broke a marriage pact with the Frey family to marry Talisa Maegyr. This betrayal ultimately led to his downfall. He was murdered, along with his mother, wife, and many of his men, at the Red Wedding, orchestrated by Walder Frey in collusion with Roose Bolton and the Lannisters. This act effectively ended the Stark rebellion and his short reign.
