Game of Thrones

Arya Stark is a fictional character from George R.R. Martin's "A Song of Ice and Fire" fantasy novel series, adapted into the HBO television series Game of Thrones. She is the third child and younger daughter of Lord Eddard "Ned" Stark of Winterfell and his wife, Lady Catelyn Tully.

Arya is characterized by her independent and rebellious nature, contrasting with the traditional expectations of noble ladies. She prefers sword fighting and adventure to needlework and courtly pursuits. Early in the series, she receives sword fighting lessons from Syrio Forel, a "water dancer" from Braavos, shaping her fighting style.

Following the execution of her father, Arya endures numerous hardships and travels throughout Westeros, assuming different identities to survive. She trains as a Faceless Man in the House of Black and White, learning the art of assassination and disguise. This training hones her skills in combat and deception.

Throughout the series, Arya is driven by a desire for revenge against those who wronged her family. By the end of Game of Thrones, she plays a pivotal role in defeating the Night King, solidifying her status as a skilled warrior. Afterwards she sets sail westward to discover what is west of Westeros.
