Ross Geller is a fictional character from the American television sitcom, Friends. He is portrayed by David Schwimmer throughout the show's ten seasons.
Ross is a paleontologist with a Ph.D. and works at the New York Museum of Prehistoric History, later becoming a professor at New York University. He is the older brother of Monica Geller, played by Courteney Cox.
Known for his intellectual nature and often awkward social interactions, Ross experiences several significant relationships throughout the series.
