Frank Iero is a musician best known as the rhythm guitarist and backup vocalist for the rock band My Chemical Romance, from 2002 until their breakup in 2013, and again from their reunion in 2019 until their breakup in 2024. Iero's energetic stage presence and distinctive guitar playing contributed significantly to My Chemical Romance's sound and image.
Beyond My Chemical Romance, Iero has pursued various solo projects and band endeavors. He fronted the post-hardcore band Leathermouth in 2007, showcasing his heavier musical inclinations. He has also released music under the names FrnkIero andthe Cellabration, Frank Iero and the Patience, and Frank Iero and the Future Violents. Iero writes all of his own songs, which are often confessional and emotional in nature.
Throughout his career, Iero has toured extensively and collaborated with other artists. He is considered an influential figure in the alternative music scene, inspiring many young musicians. He also operates a record label, B.CALM Press.
