Prince Charles, born Charles Philip Arthur George on November 14, 1948, is the eldest son of Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh. He is the heir apparent to the British throne and the longest-serving Prince of Wales, having held the title since 1958.
Educated at Gordonstoun School and Trinity College, Cambridge, he also served in the Royal Navy and Royal Air Force. He married Lady Diana Spencer in 1981, with whom he had two sons, Prince William and Prince Harry. The marriage ended in divorce in 1996. He later married Camilla Parker Bowles in 2005, who now holds the title of Queen Consort.
Prince Charles has been actively involved in numerous charities and initiatives, particularly focusing on environmental sustainability, youth opportunities, and promoting organic farming. He founded The Prince's Trust in 1976, which has helped hundreds of thousands of disadvantaged young people.
Upon the death of his mother, Queen Elizabeth II, on September 8, 2022, Prince Charles acceded to the throne as King Charles III.
