Biography:
Malala Yousafzai is a Pakistani activist known globally for her advocacy for female education. Born in Mingora, Pakistan, in 1997, she began speaking out for girls' right to education under the Taliban regime, who banned girls from attending school.
In 2012, at the age of 15, Malala was shot in the head by a Taliban gunman while riding home from school. She survived the attack and was flown to the UK for medical treatment.
Following her recovery, Malala continued her activism, co-founding the Malala Fund, a non-profit organization advocating for girls' education. In 2014, she became the youngest Nobel Prize laureate, receiving the Nobel Peace Prize jointly with Kailash Satyarthi.
