Hunter, born in Harlem, was orphaned when his parents' plane crashed in Wakanda. He was adopted by King T'Chaka and raised alongside T'Challa, becoming a skilled warrior and tactician.

Because he was a white outsider, Hunter was denied the Black Panther mantle. Instead, he became the White Wolf, leader of the Hatut Zeraze, Wakanda's secret police and intelligence agency. Often working in the shadows, he carried out missions deemed too morally questionable for the Black Panther.

Hunter's relationship with T'Challa is complex, marked by both brotherhood and resentment. His methods are often brutal, leading to clashes with his adoptive brother's more compassionate approach. Despite his questionable tactics, he remains fiercely loyal to Wakanda and its people, often acting as a necessary evil to protect the nation from threats both internal and external.
