Windshear, whose real name is Colin Ashworth Hume, is a Canadian mutant in the Marvel Universe. He first appeared in Alpha Flight #50 in 1987.

Hume possesses the ability to manipulate air currents, allowing him to generate powerful concussive blasts of wind. He can also create localized vacuums and even levitate himself using controlled air streams.

Originally, Windshear's powers were amplified, and personality altered, by a technologically advanced suit designed by Roxxon Oil. This suit granted him greater control over his abilities, but at the cost of his own free will. Eventually, he overcame Roxxon's influence.

Windshear has primarily been associated with Alpha Flight, a Canadian superhero team. He has served on the main team and occasionally worked independently. Although his appearances are infrequent, he remains a notable, if lesser-known, member of the Canadian superhero community within Marvel Comics.
