Snaggletooth, more formally known as Zutton, was a character who appeared briefly in the Mos Eisley cantina scene in Star Wars: A New Hope. He was a member of the Rauvian species, native to the planet Rauf.

Zutton was a short, stocky alien with distinctive fangs, giving him the "Snaggletooth" moniker. His appearance in the original theatrical release was of a blue-suited character, a visual that became iconic.

However, this blue-suited Snaggletooth seen at the cantina was a costuming error, using an alien costume intended for a different scene. Later depictions, particularly in expanded universe materials and the Special Edition release, showed the Rauvian as a more realistically colored alien, often with a red suit, more accurately reflecting the intended design.

Despite his minimal screen time, Snaggletooth/Zutton became a popular character, further explored in various Star Wars novels, comics, and other media, solidifying his place in the broader Star Wars universe.
