Hammerhead, whose real name is Momaw Nadon, was an Ithorian male known for his distinct T-shaped head, a characteristic of his species. Ithorians are a peaceful, nature-loving race hailing from the planet Ithor.

He was a prominent figure in the Rebel Alliance, fighting against the Galactic Empire. Hammerhead held a position of importance, often involved in strategic planning and resource management. He was deeply committed to restoring freedom and justice to the galaxy.

Prior to joining the Rebellion, Momaw Nadon was a respected agronomist, dedicated to preserving and studying plant life. He possessed extensive knowledge of botany and ecology, skills that he sometimes utilized in service of the Rebellion. He had to abandon his work after the Empire invaded his home planet.

Hammerhead’s most notable contribution to the Rebel cause was his involvement in securing the crucial plans for the Death Star. While he was not directly involved in acquiring them, his role in the distribution and eventual delivery to Princess Leia proved vital in the Alliance's effort to find the weakness of the battle station and destroy it.
