Ayesha is a fictional character portrayed in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU).
She first appeared in the movie Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. Ayesha is the golden-skinned, genetically engineered leader of the Sovereign, a technologically advanced and genetically perfect race.
In Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, Ayesha hires the Guardians of the Galaxy to protect valuable batteries from an interdimensional monster, only to hunt them down after Rocket Raccoon steals some of the batteries. Her motivations are driven by a desire to maintain the Sovereign's image of perfection and to eliminate threats to their existence.
Her quest for vengeance leads her to create a new being, hinted to be Adam Warlock, as a weapon against the Guardians.
