Justin Hammer is a character appearing in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, portrayed by Sam Rockwell. He is a rival of Tony Stark and the CEO of Hammer Industries, a weapons manufacturing company.
Hammer attempts to replicate Stark's Iron Man technology, seeking to usurp Stark Industries' position as the primary supplier of weapons to the U.S. military. He is often portrayed as arrogant, insecure, and willing to cut corners in pursuit of profit and recognition.
He subcontracts Ivan Vanko to create similar suits, which in turn, ends up backfiring and sabotages Hammer's attempts to become a major player in the arms industry.
