Tyreese Williams was a prominent character in *The Walking Dead* comic book series and television adaptation. He's portrayed as a physically imposing and morally driven man who struggles with the brutality required for survival in the zombie apocalypse.

Before the outbreak, Tyreese worked in sales. The sudden collapse of society forced him to become a protector, primarily for his sister, Sasha. He displays both immense strength and deep empathy, often wrestling with the choices he needs to make to keep his group safe.

In both the comics and the show, Tyreese leads various groups and becomes a valuable member of Rick Grimes' community. His strong sense of justice and reluctance to resort to violence create internal conflict, as he aims to maintain his humanity in a world that actively tries to strip it away.

Despite his best efforts, Tyreese ultimately meets a tragic end, bitten by a walker. However, both versions of his death are impactful, serving as reminders of the constant danger and moral compromises inherent in the survivors' new reality.
