Marty McFly is a fictional character from the "Back to the Future" film franchise, first appearing in the 1985 movie *Back to the Future*.
Played by Michael J. Fox, Marty is a typical American teenager living in Hill Valley, California, in the 1980s. He's passionate about music, particularly rock and roll, and plays the guitar.
Marty is accidentally sent back in time to 1955 by his eccentric scientist friend, Dr. Emmett Brown, in a time-traveling DeLorean. This event sets off a chain of adventures where he must ensure his parents fall in love to secure his own existence.
