Guardian Commando, also known as GC, is a character from the video game series "Helldivers." He represents the player character, an elite soldier of Super Earth deployed to combat alien threats and spread "Managed Democracy."

GC's background is intentionally vague, reflecting the game's satirical take on militaristic propaganda. Helldivers are mass-produced, expendable units, conditioned to blindly follow orders. Individuality is suppressed in favor of unwavering loyalty to Super Earth.

While visually customizable with various armor sets and cosmetic options, GC lacks a defined personality or backstory. Their actions and beliefs are dictated solely by their programming and the directives issued by Super Earth's governing body. They are the ultimate tool, unquestioningly serving their purpose to liberate planets, often through excessive force and collateral damage.

The character is essentially a blank slate, allowing players to project themselves into the role of a patriotic, if somewhat brainwashed, soldier fighting for a cause they may not fully understand, but are wholly committed to.
