John Fitzgerald Byers is a fictional character featured in the television series The X-Files and its spin-off, The Lone Gunmen. Portrayed by Bruce Harwood, Byers is one of the three members of the titular Lone Gunmen, a group of conspiracy theorists who publish a newspaper dedicated to uncovering government secrets and hidden truths.
